If you're like me, you want to get right down to business when you are training. I have little patience for hand wrapping though I am very aware of the importance. That is why I love gel wrap gloves.

Gel wrap gloves are made for serious MMA fighters who want the protection of a hand wrap but don't want to take time to wrap the old fashioned way. Simply slip the gloves on and you are good to go.

The lightweight, form-fitting neoprene material prevents hand cramping and the interior gel provides padding to absorb impact. The wrist wrap fits securely and has a convenient hook/loop fastener.

The importance of a hand wrap is that it protects against some injuries that are all too common. The wrist support keeps the wrist inline when punching and absorbs impact and also secures the thumb secure to the base of the thumb. These safety features which will help prevent injuries such as sprains and fractures.

Gel wraps are also good for compressing the bones and tissues in the hand which is thought to allow for a more forceful hit with greater force along with providing protection.

Personally, I love the convenience and protection of the gel wrap. I use them when working out on the bag and in sparring. Since they can be worn under boxing gloves I wear them even in competition when the rules allow.
