Once you get to the higher levels of martial arts training, you
will more than likely be required to break a few boards such as
when training for your black belt.
When doing so it used to be common to break a board once and
discard but now re-breakable boards are available that can be
reused. Which you choose is up to you.
If you are in need of a re-breakable board, Kwon has one that I
really like. A
re-breakable board is my preference because it is
more economical and practical.
Kwons
re-breakable boards are tough,
made of a durable plastic material with a break point in the
center.
They have extra foam padding on either side which will protect
your ankles and joints from injury. All you do is slide them
together after using them.
My students just love doing this.
These boards are available in three difficulty levels. The yellow
is light, blue is middle and black is strong. The light and
middle levels measure 12.4 x 9.2 and the strong measures 13.6 x
10.
